For journalists like myself, this is great news: Jill Abramson was named executive editor of the 160-year-old newspaper on June 2nd.

Sorry I’m a little late sharing the news; I’ve been busy laying out our first issue which will launch today.

Still, I’m excited for Abramson, and for female journalists everwhere. Perhaps that’s what the j-world needs: a good shot of estrogen.

From all of us who work at and read M.L.T.S. Magazine, where we believe any woman can achieve anything she puts her mind to, “Congratulations, Jill!”
