Those Pretty Little Liars Got Style!

Forgive me for being a late adopter of it, but I’m now a huge fan of Pretty Little Liars, ABC Family’s hit show which airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST. And aside from the constant suspense, I’m most in love with the costumes. Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin and Emily Fields never miss a beat even when they’re trying to hunt down A, the mysterious all-knowing person who is stalking and blackmailing them.

Aria Montgomery

Aria, the daughter of an artist and a professor, has been outside the country and is well-read. She’s a mature, independent young woman and her wardrobe tends to reflect that. She is probably the most adventurous of the group with a style sensibility akin to that of Carrie Bradshaw’s. Her trademarks would have to include leopard print, miniskirts and knee socks.

Check out ABC Family’s website for tips on stealing her red dress look from season 2.

Spencer Hastings

Spencer Hastings is an athlete and a bookworm. A natural competitor, her style is feminine with a masculine edge. She favors cool sweaters, interesting hats, and  vests and blazers.

Check out ABC Family’s website for a breakdown of her super cool denim outfit from season 2.

Hanna Marin

Hanna Marin, who was almost charged with shoplifting, favors expensive items. She loves fashion and dresses like it. She favors dresses, which she usually covers up with structured jackets, probably because she’s still a little self-conscious after being Hefty Hanna.

Over on ABC Family’s website, they tell you where to find a trenchcoat like Hanna’s.

Emily Fields

A star swimmer, Emily’s style is the most laid back of them all. She favors easy pieces — cotton T-shirts, denim — more than the other girls.

  1. I really love Aria’s style. She’s so original. Just wish I had the hot little body she has to be able to pull that stuff off.
